Create New Inspection


To create a new Inspection, click Create Inspection from the tab drop down menu or the blue horizontal menu bar from within the Inspections Application. The New Inspection page will open.
 

First, click the pencil in the grey bar (1) to enter a name for the new Inspection. Next, click the pencil next to Page Name (2) to enter a name for the first page of the new inspection. As you type, the preview section (14) on the right will update in real time and your inspection will be saved automatically.
 
To enter your first inspection item, click within the Title field (3) to enter a name or question. Optionally, click on the response bank dropdown (4) to select from common responses, your saved responses, or responses created by other staff members. If you would like to create one or more new responses, type the first response in the field (5) below the response bank dropdown menu.

Next, select the type of response (6) from the dropdown next to the points column. The response options are Button, Text Input, Date, Time, Date & Time, or Number. 

To add a response, click the green plus sign (7), to remove a response, click the red x. To make this a required question, click the grey star (8) on the right. Once clicked, the star will turn red and "Required" will show up in the preview on the right.

When ready, click done (9) to save the inspection item. If at any time you need to go back to review or edit an inspection item, click within the box to reopen.

To add another inspection item, click the grey plus sign (10) on the right. To duplicate and edit or to delete an inspection item, click the grey gear (11) on the left. To add one or more images to the inspection, click the grey plus sign to add a new item, then choose Section from the dropdown menu.

To add a new page to your inspection, click Add Page (12), then enter a name for the page and begin adding inspection items.

Drag and drop to rearrange responses or pages by clicking on the three grey bars on the left.

When finished creating the inspection, click "Save" (13) or "Save and Schedule." For more information on scheduling and assigning please review the "Schedule Inspections" Help Document.
